Production Engineer

Role & Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate Vehicle Assembly and Sub Assembly operations, including the assembly of main vehicles and subassemblies.
• Ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations throughout the assembly process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure manufacturability and quality of vehicles.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of assembly processes and equipment to identify areas for optimization and improvement.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions in a timely manner to minimize downtime and maintain production targets.
• Develop and maintain assembly documentation, including work instructions, procedures, and quality standards.
• Provide training and support to assembly line staff to ensure compliance with procedures and standards.
• Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new equipment, technologies, and manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Vehicle Assembly and Sub Assembly department, participating in cross-functional teams and contributing ideas for process enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• 2-5 years of experience in production engineering, specifically in vehicle assembly and Sub Assembly or related areas
• Proficiency in manufacturing processes and equipment related to two-wheeler vehicle assembly and Sub Assembly operations
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies is desirable
