Manager - Field Quality (FQ)

Role & responsibilities

Quality Management:

• Develop and implement field quality management strategies to ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track field quality performance.
• Monitor field performance data and trends to identify areas for improvement and take proactive actions to address quality issues.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor a team of field quality engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning within the team.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to drive professional development and growth.

Root Cause Analysis:

• Lead investigations into field quality issues, conducting root cause analysis to identify underlying causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and customer support, to resolve quality issues effectively and efficiently.

Continuous Improvement:

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce defects, and improve overall quality performance.
• Implement best practices and quality standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Customer Communication:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and concerns related to field quality issues.
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and expectations, and provide timely updates and resolutions to quality issues.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agriculture, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

• 5+ years of experience in quality management, with a focus on field quality or related areas.

• Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical issues to diverse audiences.
