Php Developer Trainee

We are looking for a Junior PHP Developer to join our dynamic FinTech team. In this role, you will work on exciting financial technology projects, including processing SEPA bank files for direct debit submissions, importing bank statements, reconciling transactions, and developing scripts for automated reporting. While prior experience is a plus, we welcome fresh graduates who are eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced FinTech environment. You will have the opportunity to work with Perl programming and XML file handling and gain hands-on experience in banking and payment system integrations.

Role & responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain server side applications using PHP / PERL.
• Work with MySQL databases to design, query, and optimize database operations.
• Handle XML data for data exchange and reporting purposes.
• Export data reports in various formats (e.g., CSV, Excel) for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the team to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing systems.
• Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code.
• Assist in integrating third-party APIs and services.
• Ensure data security and integrity in all applications.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in PHP, PERL and database management.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in PHP programming (OOP concepts, MVC architecture).
• Strong knowledge of MySQL (database design, queries, optimization).
• Familiarity with XML handling and data parsing.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
• Basic knowledge of financial technologies or related domains.
