The Procurement Specialist will play a key role in sourcing raw materials, packaging, and supplies for the production of NOTOs ice cream products. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with strong vendor management skills. The role will require collaborating with suppliers, ensuring the timely delivery of materials, and maintaining high standards of quality. This person will contribute to cost optimization, inventory management, vendor management and ensure that NOTO's growth goals are met.

Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing and Supplier Management:
1. Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers of ingredients, packaging, consumables and other production materials.
2. Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
3. Maintain a supplier database and perform regular assessments to ensure the best quality and value for the company.
Inventory Management:
1. Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure the continuous availability of materials while minimizing excess stock.
2. Work with production and warehouse teams to forecast material needs based on production schedules.
3. Ensure proper documentation of inventory movements and assist with regular stock audits.
Cost Optimization:
1. Evaluate current procurement processes and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency without compromising quality.
2. Help in new product launches by sourcing materials that align with the brands needs and values.
3. Work closely with finance and operations teams to align procurement strategies with budget goals.
Quality Control:
1. Ensure that all procured materials meet NOTOs quality standards and product specifications.
2. Collaborate with the quality and production team to resolve any quality issues related to ingredients or packaging.
3. Support the testing and certification process for new ingredients or packaging materials.
Logistics & Supplier Coordination:
1. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and packaging.
2. Monitor shipments and resolve any supply chain disruptions to maintain production schedules.
3. Manage and track orders, and ensure they are delivered in full and on time.
Reporting & Documentation:
1. Maintain detailed records of all procurement transactions, including contracts, purchase orders, and vendor communications.
2. Prepare procurement reports, inventory analysis, and cost performance metrics for management.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
Experience:
o 3-5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in food production, consumer goods, or startups.
o Experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment will be a added bonus.
Skills:
o Strong negotiation skills and ability to build long-term supplier relationships.
o Knowledge of supply chain management, inventory control, and logistics.
o Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including production, marketing, and finance.
o Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
o Excellent communication and organizational skills.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
o Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software is a plus.
