Job Description
Your role will be to:
- Generate step drawings, back deck layouts, and arrangements for pull-ins on platforms and landfalls.
- Design joint bays, cable system layouts, and modifications for equipment used on vessels.
- Draft and modify equipment and layout designs for vessels or barges.
- Ensure proper integration of all components involved in cable systems and offshore operations.
- Prepare and review as-built drawings, ensuring all design and structural details are accurately reflected.
You will report to the Manager of Installation Engineering and work closely with project engineers and vessel operations crew. This position is based in Mumbai with limited international travel.
Innovative and Collaborative Mechanical Engineer
We are looking for a creative and customer-focused Mechanical Engineer with a versatile mindset and strong communication skills. You should be structured, planned, and able to collaborate easily, taking responsibility for your work. Your ability to work with internal stakeholders and support project engineers and vessel operations crew is crucial.
You also have:
- A Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience in the offshore construction industry.
- 10+ years of design and drafting experience, including 2-3 years in offshore installation.
- Experience working in remote international teams.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other 3D design software.
- Knowledge of Windchill PLM.
