Position Overview:. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Aerospace Engineer to lead the design and development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of UAV aerodynamics, propulsion, and flight mechanics, with a proven track record in UAV design from concept through to production. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our UAV technology, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, reliable systems
Key Responsibilities:. UAV Design & Development: Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of UAVs, including fixed-wing, rotary-wing, and hybrid platforms, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
Aerodynamic Analysis: Perform advanced aerodynamic analysis and simulations to refine UAV designs for enhanced efficiency and stability
Propulsion Integration: Develop and integrate propulsion systems, including electric, hybrid, and conventional engines, tailored to the specific requirements of each UAV
Avionics & Payload Integration: Collaborate with avionics, sensor, and payload teams to seamlessly integrate systems into UAV designs, ensuring full functionality and mission readiness
Structural Analysis & Testing: Conduct structural analysis to validate the integrity of UAV air-frames, followed by prototyping and rigorous testing, including wind tunnel and flight tests
Manufacturing Optimization: Optimize UAV designs for manufacturability, considering material selection, production methods, and cost-effectiveness
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all UAV designs comply with industry standards and regulations, including FAA, EASA, and other relevant certifications
Documentation & Reporting: Document design processes, test results, and technical specifications, providing clear and detailed reports to stakeholders
Industry Trends & Innovation: Stay informed about the latest advancements in UAV technology, contributing innovative ideas to keep Nitro Dynamics at the forefront of the industry
Qualifications:. Educational Background: Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field. A Ph.D. is an advantage
UAV Design Experience: Demonstrated experience in UAV design and development, with a portfolio of successful projects
Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of aerodynamics, flight mechanics, propulsion systems, and structural analysis
Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, CFD, XFOIL)
Systems Integration: Strong understanding of avionics, sensor integration, and flight control systems specific to UAVs
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with UAV industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAA, EASA)
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making
