Job title
e-Book Specialist
Reports To Team Leader – eBook Processing
Job Purpose
The objective of this project is to assess, evaluate, and make necessary corrections to the eBook files such as PDF ePUB and their associated metadata in the production pipeline to ensure quick access and a seamless reading experience for the end users. This project involves various workflows, and the main goal is to host the publisher-supplied titles on to our EBSCO databases.
Duties and Responsibilities Primary responsibility of the candidate includes the following:
Ability to understand Publisher Notes
Review the critical errors and fixable warnings in the Validation Report generated by the validation tool
Inspect eBooks visually to make sure they meet our quality standards.
Addressing Pagination, Bookmark, Crop, OCR errors in PDFs by using Adobe Acrobat
Editing EPUB files in Oxygen XML Editor
Assigning appropriate standard error codes (predefined).
Address the errors if they are fixable or FAIL the eBook with a standard note to the publisher.
Qualifications
Education:
A Bachelors Degree in any discipline
Skills Abilities
Sound Knowledge on Adobe tools like Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Digital Editions, Adobe Photoshop
Knowledge on Editors like Oxygen XML Editor, Sigil
Must be familiar with web-based applications
Hands-on experience in quality checking would be an added value
Must be a team player Experience
2+ years in content management projects
Working Conditions
Work Location: NES Office, Hyderabad
Work Timings: 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM
Work Days: 5 Days a week
Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent
