Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical components, automation systems, and robotics solutions.
Design, prototype, and implement electro-mechanical systems, including automation subsystems and robotic mechanisms.
Create detailed design documentation, including CAD models, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent) and simulation tools to model, analyze, and optimize mechanical and robotic designs.
Conduct feasibility studies, including simulations and proof-of-concept testing, to evaluate automation and robotic solutions.
Optimize designs for performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness, with a focus on automating processes and enhancing productivity.
Work closely with the electronics and software teams to integrate mechanical designs with embedded systems and control algorithms.
Develop and maintain production documents, including bill of materials (BOM), assembly instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and testing protocols.
Provide technical support during the manufacturing and assembly process, ensuring smooth integration of automation and robotic components.
Lead or contribute to troubleshooting and problem resolution for production and field-deployed systems.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in automation, robotics, and mechanical design.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system automation, design efficiency, and overall product quality.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Robotics / Automation Engineering or related field.
2-3 years of proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, Automation Engineer, or Robotics Engineer, preferably in the Medical, Automotive, or Aerospace Industry. Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and experience with simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD, kinematic analysis).
Hands-on experience in designing and developing robotic arms, actuators, and automated systems.
Familiarity with sensors, actuators, motor control, and integration of hardware with embedded systems.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, injection molding, and 3D printing.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
