Planning & Billing Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Scheduling:
   
• Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules for high-rise building construction projects.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to prepare realistic timelines and milestones.
• Use scheduling tools (like Primavera P6 or MS Project) to ensure efficient resource allocation and track project progress.
• Monitor construction progress against the baseline schedule and provide necessary corrective actions when required.
2. Cost Estimation & Budget Management:
   
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for various stages of the construction process.
• Collaborate with the finance team to develop project budgets.
• Track expenditures and compare with budget to ensure cost control.
• Assist in identifying cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality and safety standards.
3. Billing & Financial Management:
   
• Prepare accurate billing schedules based on the work completed and contractual agreements.
• Coordinate with the accounts department to ensure timely invoicing and payment.
• Ensure proper documentation for billing, including work completed, materials used, and labor costs.
• Prepare and submit progress claims, and verify that payment milestones are met as per contracts.
• Manage change orders and adjustments in billing due to scope changes.
4. Coordination & Documentation:
   
• Maintain comprehensive project records, including design documents, construction schedules, cost analysis, and change orders.
• Communicate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth flow of work and accurate billing.
• Track and document project variations and claims.
• Prepare periodic reports on the projects status, progress, and financial standing for senior management.
5. Risk Management:
   
• Identify potential risks related to construction delays, cost overruns, or scope changes and propose solutions.
• Analyze project deviations and take corrective actions to minimize financial and schedule risks.
6. Quality & Compliance:
   
• Ensure that all billing and planning processes adhere to the company's policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Monitor quality and compliance standards in both planning and billing phases to avoid disputes or claims.
7. Client & Stakeholder Communication:
   
• Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to provide regular project updates, budget reports, and schedule information.
• Handle client queries related to project billing and timelines.
