Pneumatic Designer (Control Design)

Key Responsibilities:

• Pneumatic System Design:
• Design and develop pneumatic systems for industrial machinery, focusing on automation and efficiency.
• Create detailed schematics, assembly drawings, and part lists for pneumatic circuits to support manufacturing processes.
• Select suitable pneumatic components (valves, actuators, compressors, sensors) for specific applications, ensuring compatibility with automation systems.
• System Analysis & Simulation:
• Perform system simulations and calculations to evaluate the performance and reliability of pneumatic systems.
• Analyze fluid dynamics and optimize the efficiency of pneumatic systems, ensuring that they meet automation system requirements.
• Integration with Automation:
• Work closely with electrical and mechanical design teams to integrate pneumatic systems into broader automation solutions.
• Ensure seamless integration of pneumatic components into automated manufacturing and production systems.
• Troubleshooting & Optimization:
• Troubleshoot existing pneumatic systems to identify issues and recommend effective solutions to improve performance and efficiency.
• Continuously monitor system functionality and make necessary design improvements to optimize pneumatic systems for automated processes.
• Collaboration and Documentation:
• Provide design support and technical documentation for pneumatic systems to support production and installation teams.
• Participate in team discussions and provide technical expertise to ensure that systems are designed according to project requirements and industry standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience in designing pneumatic systems, with a focus on automation and industrial machinery.
• Experience in designing and selecting pneumatic components for control systems and automation applications.
• Software Proficiency:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (ELE/MECH) for designing pneumatic circuits, schematics, and layouts.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor or other 3D CAD software for creating detailed models and assembly drawings.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar design tools is a plus.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, pneumatic control principles, and their application in industrial automation.
• Ability to integrate pneumatic control systems into automated machinery and robotics is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of robotics and automated manufacturing systems is a plus.
• Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting:
• Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues in pneumatic systems.
• Ability to analyze and improve the performance of pneumatic circuits and control systems.
• Communication Skills:
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (electrical, mechanical, and automation engineers).
• Ability to document designs and processes clearly and accurately.
