Senior Electrical Design Engineer

SENIOR ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

We are looking for a passionate and results-oriented Senior Design Engineer Electrical with prior Experience at Design Consultancy.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for complete Electrical System design.
• Understand the project requirements and coordinate with other stake holders Arch, Civil, structural MEP services and with Client for life cycle of the project.
• Equipment & Substation space planning as per codes and bylaws.
• Preparation of Electrical system design, electrical BOD, Cable schedule, Load estimation, calculations and schematics / SLD.
• Design of Lighting, Power, cable tray, Earthing and Equipment layouts in compliance to International / Local Standards.
• Equipment selection and detailing technical specifications of Transformer, Genset, Capacitor, UPS, STS, ATS, LV / MV Switchgears.
• Technical appraisal for Critical Equipment
• Co-relate studies in ETAP with design and do necessary modifications.
• Review of design for errors and provide solutions / recommendations addressing the concerns.
• Quality in all deliverables in the given time period.
• Preparation of BOQ with quantity and costing estimation.

Most Preferred candidate with below experience

• Having prior experience in electrical systems design for Design for data centers, financial institutions, Banking sectors and other critical infrastructure projects.
• Should be a Collaborative Problem Solver, Team Lead.
• Proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Project management skills with experience in Client-facing roles.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Hands - on Design experience in ETAP or AMPTECH.
• Specialist certifications (CDCP, CDCS, ATD Etc.,) would be an added advantage.
• Experience in EHV, HV systems and GIS substations.
• Participate in discussion with AHJ/CEIG/ Local Power Authorities (if required) as per project.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree Level education in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 12+ years professional design experience in design background.
• Relevant experience with electrical codes and standards (e.g., IS, IEEE, IEC etc).
• Relevant knowledge of Data Centre codes (e.g., TIA, Uptime, ASHRAE TC 9.9, IEEE etc) would be a distinct advantage.
• Experience in Design software such as CAD, BIM, AMTECH, PSCAD, SKM, ETAP, DIA Lux.
