Job Description
- Generate ideas, develop concepts, and design both new products and improvements to existing products.
- Perform hand calculations and GD&T stack-up analysis.
- Good understanding of engineering principles.
- Provide CAD (Solid Edge / Solidworks) support for New Product Development (NPD) and Sustenance projects.
- Lead cost-saving and quality improvement initiatives.
- Implement DFMA (Design for Manufacturability and Assembly) practices in product design.
- Implement Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notes (ECNs) efficiently.
- Contribute to the development and testing of functional prototypes and evaluate test results.
- Manage costed Bill of Materials (BOM) and apply PLM tools such as Teamcenter.
- Prioritize tasks effectively to meet customer expectations and deadlines.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all project team members.
