QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in API testing, have a solid grasp of UI testing, and possess a comprehensive understanding of various testing methodologies and types. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by designing and executing tests, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

API Testing:
- Design, develop, and execute test cases for API endpoints.
- Ensure APIs are correctly integrated with other system components and meet performance standards.
- Use tools like Postman, SoapUI or similar for testing APIs.
- Automate API tests using frameworks like Postman, RestAssured, JUnit, or similar.

UI Testing:
- Design and execute test cases to ensure the functionality meet the requirements.
- Perform Functional, Usability, Regression and end to end testing for the product.

Test Planning and Execution:
- Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Execute manual and automated tests according to the test plans.
- Identify, record, document, and track defects using JIRA.
- Collaborate with developers to debug and resolve issues.

Testing Methodologies:
- Apply various testing methodologies such as Usability, Compatibility, Integration, Acceptance, System testing.
- Implement different types of testing, including functional, non-functional, regression, performance, and security testing.

Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in software testing.
- Provide input on improving test automation frameworks and strategies.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with development, product management, and operations teams to ensure high-quality software releases.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as part of the Agile development process.
- Communicate testing progress, issues, and results to stakeholders.

Experience:
- Proven experience in testing with a strong focus on API testing.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks for both API and UI testing.

- In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.

- Experience with Build Automation Tools and CI/CD Pipelines is a plus.
