Job Overview:
We are looking for a Backend Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of scalable, efficient, and high-performing web applications. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of RESTful APIs and MySQL databases . As part of our development team, you will work on building, testing, and maintaining APIs that interact with front-end applications and backend systems, as well as optimise and manage MySQL databases for fast, reliable performance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain web applications using Laravel and PHP .
- Collaborate with senior developers to design and implement new features and functionality.
- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code.
- Troubleshoot and debug application issues and provide timely solutions.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and learn best practices.
- Work with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Contribute to the development of APIs and integration with third-party services.
- Assist in database design and management (MySQL) .
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in backend development, with a strong foundation in Core PHP and Laravel .
- Basic understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
- Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript .
- Proficiency in MySQL ; experience designing complex database schemas.
- In-depth knowledge of PHP web frameworks such as Laravel, and Lumen .
- Understanding of MVC design patterns
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON .
- Minimum 2+ years of experience with Node.js for backend services and applications.
- Proficiency in Git, and GitHub to ensure proper code versioning and collaboration.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
- Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work well within cross-functional teams.
