Senior Software Architect - Sterling OMS

As we expand our digital offerings, we seek a highly skilled Senior Software Architect with expertise in IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS) to join our dynamic team.

Role ster :

The Senior Software Architect will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing robust and scalable Sterling OMS solutions.

You will lead technical teams, guide architectural decisions, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality projects.

This position requires a strong understanding of Sterling OMS functionalities, deep Java expertise, and a passion for delivering cutting-edge solutions.

Responsibilities :

- Define and drive the technical architecture for Sterling OMS implementations.

- Ensure solutions align with industry best practices, scalability, and performance requirements.

- Guide the development team in implementing design decisions.

- In-depth knowledge of Sterling OMS modules : GIV, IV, Payments, Order Orchestration, Returns, Call Center Solution, Store Engagement Solution, etc.

- Proven experience in Sterling OMS customization projects, including design, development, testing, and deployment.

- Expertise in Java, XML parsing, SQL, and Sterling OMS APIs.

- Proficient in packaging and deploying Sterling in CoC and on-premise environments.

- Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering their growth and development.

- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Project Managers to define project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.

- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and resolving roadblocks.

- Experience working in Agile environments, utilizing tools like Jenkins, GitHub, and Jira.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance development efficiency and quality.

- Develop and maintain reusable components, libraries, and best practices to improve project velocity and reduce technical debt.

- Stay abreast of the latest technologies and trends in the Ecommerce and Sterling OMS space.

- Effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Business Analysts, and QA.

- Work effectively across geographies and time zones.

Qualifications :

Essential :

- 10+ years of overall IT experience with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in Sterling OMS development.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

- Strong proficiency in Java, XML, XSL, JSON, and SQL.

- Experience with IBM CoC and Sterling OMS deployment methodologies.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable :

- IBM Developer Badges/Certifications related to Sterling OMS.

- Experience with microservices architecture (e.g, Spring Boot).

- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g, Azure, AWS).

- Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g, Docker, Kubernetes)
