APAC Tax Manager

Job Description:

Role: Nextracker is seeking a key member of the global tax team, responsible for managing regional tax compliance and supporting various business initiatives, M&A integrations, new country expansions and process improvement. A successful candidate will lead cross-functional projects, build relationships with business partners, provide tax advice to key stakeholders and manage tax compliance in APAC region.

Location: Hyderabad, India

Your Contribution:

Oversee tax compliance for the APAC region. Manage tax compliance and related tax planning.

• Manage the preparation and timely filing of tax returns for APAC region.
• Monitor transfer pricing adjustments in APAC to ensure compliance with global transfer pricing structure.
• Developing, evaluating, supporting and documenting all intercompany transactions between subsidiaries.
• Support tax planning of several expansion projects and initiatives, as well as new country expansions and M&A integrations.
• Identify and implement process improvement/automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of tax processes.
• Monitor and manage tax audits and controversies for the legal entities in the region.
• Manage and enforce internal controls and processes to minimize the risk of errors.
• Track changes to tax laws, provide sound tax analysis and implement projects to respond to new laws and business initiatives and new business transactions and/or requirements.
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors and authorities for the APAC region, ensuring effective communication and compliance with local tax requirements.

Key Qualifications:
For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:

• A minimum of 6+ years of corporate tax experience. Experience in a publicly traded multinational group or of a Big4 required.
• Fluent in English.
• Capable of working independently while being part of a global tax team.
• Experience with managing and reviewing tax compliance activities for multinational companies.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with OneSource Tax Provision is a plus.
