Business Analyst - Data

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to lead and support data-related projects within our organization. As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with data scientists, AI specialists, engineers, and business stakeholders to analyze business requirements, gather insights, and translate them into actionable data solutions. Your role will be critical in bridging the gap between business needs and technical teams, ensuring successful delivery of data and AI initiatives.

A strong emphasis is placed on data visualization and the ability to leverage Power BI and other tools to present data in a meaningful way, helping the organization make informed, data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Business Requirements Gathering:

- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, document, and prioritize business needs for data-related projects.

- Conduct in-depth interviews, workshops, and meetings to understand business objectives, pain points, and project goals.

- Data Analysis and Insights:

- Work closely with data scientists and engineers to analyze data sets and extract actionable insights.

- Interpret complex data findings and present them to business stakeholders in a clear, understandable manner.

- Data Visualization and Reporting:

- Good understanding of Business Intelligence tools and development methodology (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)

- Project Documentation:

- Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including business cases, process flows, functional specifications, and user stories.

- Develop and manage project timelines, key deliverables, and risks associated with data-related projects.

- Data Governance and Compliance:

- Ensure data projects comply with relevant data governance, privacy, and security regulations.

- Work with data governance teams to establish best practices for data quality, lineage, and integrity.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor s degree in business administration, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.

- Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in data-related or AI-driven projects.

- Technical Skills:

- Good understanding of data management, analytics, and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL).

- Familiarity with AI and Machine Learning concepts is a plus.

- Experience working with data teams (data scientists, engineers) and understanding data pipelines.

- Knowledge of agile project management methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and tools like Jira or Confluence.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

- Business Acumen:

- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.

- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

- Soft Skills:

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
