About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with 7-8 years of experience to lead the research, assessment, and migration of Azure DevOps Server 2020 (on-premises) to Azure DevOps Services (ADOS) on the cloud. The ideal candidate will analyze existing features and components, define the migration strategy, and guide Python developers throughout the transition process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform R&D to identify and analyze features, pipelines, repositories, agent pools, and security settings in Azure DevOps Server 2020 (on-prem).
2. Define a structured migration roadmap for transitioning from on-prem Azure DevOps Server to Azure DevOps Services (ADOS) on the cloud.
3. Develop and implement automation strategies for CI/CD pipeline migration, build and deployment workflows.
4. Work closely with Python developers, providing technical guidance on DevOps best practices and helping them adapt to the new cloud-based setup.
5. Ensure seamless migration of work items, repositories, version control, permissions, and build/release pipelines.
6. Troubleshoot post-migration issues, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
7. Maintain documentation of migration strategies, troubleshooting steps, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. 7-8 years of experience in DevOps engineering, with expertise in Azure DevOps Server (on-prem) and Azure DevOps Services (ADOS).
2. Strong understanding of CI/CD pipeline design, build automation, and deployment strategies.
3. Experience in migrating DevOps infrastructure from on-premise to cloud environments.
4. Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for scripting and automation.
5. Expertise in Git, branching strategies, repositories, and code versioning.
6. Strong knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
7. Ability to troubleshoot complex DevOps issues and optimize ADO pipelines.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

1. Exposure to Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, and cross-platform DevOps tool migration.
2. Experience in monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.).
3. Certifications in Azure (AZ-400, AZ-104, AZ-305).
