Newen Systems is looking for Sales Manager to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for understanding and propagating Newen Systems value differentiator and brand promise to existing and potential customers. You will also be responsible for understanding the market dynamics and establishing BESS s target customer segment in the market. Additionally, you will be responsible for tracking the tenders and other projects for distribution companies and the C&I segment. Finally, you will be responsible for owning the sales target and engaging organizational resources to achieve the goal.
The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent communication and writing skills, as well as a solid understanding of the energy storage market. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
Key Tasks
Develop a deep understanding of key market segments Transmission and distribution utilities, thermal and renewable generation, industry, and infrastructure verticals including segment drivers, key influencers, potential partners, channel map etc.
Support the identification of key customers per segment, drive and supervise key market development programs to support business growth and business unit s overall growth strategy
Understand that one size doesn t fit all and conceptualize solutions that are configurable and adaptable to the maximum extent possible
Engage with BD team to design specific solutions for customer need and communicate value to close the deal.
Collaborate with the team to develop annual budget, sales targets and organizational requirement to help achieve the targets
Have excellent communication skills and develop a network of trust and collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders involving Sales, Product Management, Service and Sales partners
Drive specifications to ensure success in key & strategic opportunities
Have full clarity on competitor actions and behaviour and take vital proactive measures to stay ahead of competition
Act as a mentor to team to encourage, motivate and lead them through the entire acquisition cycle
Drive growth and efficiency measures within the sales team to improve efficiency
Support the Execution and Service team in resolving issues/conflicts with customers meeting customer expectations
Define clear and well-scoped requirements and usability documents that are easily understood by technical and non-technical audiences
Skills
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to interact and collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders (Customers).
Ensures that others involved in a project/effort are kept informed about developments and plans
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ability to analyse data and develop metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Target Oriented and Self-driven.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering (or related field)
MBA or equivalent from Tier 1 institute. (Preferred)
Experience
3-7 Years experience working in BESS, UPS, Diesel generators and /or PV field.
Sales experience in managing target customer segments.
Tendering Experience is a plus.
Experience in dealing with DISCOMs / PSUs is a plus.
