Key skills for the job
1. Process Management:
o Oversee the induction hardening processes to ensure efficient and high-quality treatment of parts.
o Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for induction heating and related tasks.
o Monitor process parameters and adjust settings to maintain consistent quality.
2. Equipment Management:
o Manage and maintain induction heating machines, coils, and related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
o Schedule preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
o Troubleshoot and resolve issues with induction systems.
3. Quality Control:
o Conduct inspections and tests (e.g., hardness testing, microstructure analysis) to verify that parts meet required specifications.
o Ensure adherence to ISO and other relevant quality standards.
o Work with the quality team to address defects and implement corrective actions.
4. Team Leadership:
o Supervise and train operators and technicians on the proper use of induction equipment and safety protocols.
o Assign tasks and ensure team members meet production targets.
o Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
5. Production Planning:
o Coordinate with production planners to schedule induction processes in line with overall machining schedules.
o Ensure timely completion of tasks to meet production deadlines.
6. Safety and Compliance:
o Ensure the team adheres to safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents.
o Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.
o Comply with environmental regulations and waste management practices related to induction processes.
7. Continuous Improvement:
o Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
o Stay updated with advancements in induction technology and recommend upgrades or changes as necessary.
o Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies where applicable.
8. Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain detailed records of process parameters, equipment maintenance, and production outputs.
o Generate regular reports on induction process performance, quality metrics, and downtime."
o Proficiency in induction heating technology and CNC/PLC-controlled systems.
o Understanding of metallurgy, heat treatment processes, and material properties.
Qualification- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Industrial Engineering
