Job Description
If you enjoy solving interesting technical problems, implementing best practices in design and architecture, and leveraging multiple languages/tech nologies, we want to hear from you! New Relic is looking for a Software Engineer to join our Developer Relations Engineering team.
The Developer Relations Engineering team is customer zero of the New Relic platform. Our team is chartered to build and maintain deployable applications that showcase platform features and innovations. You ll need to be comfortable working on automated deployment pipelines, interpreting data patterns, and developing containerized cloud production environments.
What youll do
- Build and maintain production-level demo environments and sandbox applications supporting sales and field engineering teams.
- Track and test product releases to build demo apps used across all organizations in the company.
- Create automation and tooling to make our systems more scalable and easier to deploy.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to help our customers and partners.
- Work in an agile environment with a DevOps approach teams build and maintain their own software.
This role requires
- 4+ years experience in a programming language (e.g. Python, Java, Go)
- A passion for architecting well-documented easy-to-maintain applications
- Experience maintaining always-on production applications, providing on-call support, and responding to help tickets following SRE methodology.
- Strong understanding of testing principles and ability to thoroughly review and test own code changes merging, ensuring high-quality deliverables
- Knowledge and experience in developer tools, operational tools, and/or application management tools, including monitoring tools, build tools, and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools
- Experience developing cloud native applications (AWS preferred)
- Good written communication skills and fluent in English
