We are looking for an experienced Data Engineering Manager to help define and build the future of New Relic s consumption based pricing model. What youll do
Lead and grow a team responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of New Relic platforms
Coach and mentor a committed, cross-functional group of engineers
Drive technology decision making, process efficiency, and engineering excellence
Ensure the success of software projects through the planning and execution phases within and across teams
Collaborate with multi-functional teams to align product and business goals
Implement processes and methodologies that foster operational excellence
Serve as a domain expert in areas of data governance, transparency, and accuracy for New Relics consumption-based business model.
Drive the recruitment, training, and development of top-tier talent in the region.
This role requires
10+ years of experience with proven track record as a technology leader of leading and scaling strong Data Engineering teams
3+ years of experience leading engineering teams
Prior experience with Data Engineering platforms and data processing at scale
Capable of diving deep and understanding the technical implications and risks of a decision
Strong skill set in SQL, Data Modeling, and DataBase technologies
Hands on experience with a high level language such as Python
Experience managing on-call rotations, dev-ops practices, and 24/7 operations
