Job Overview:

Nest Software is looking for a highly skilled Microsoft Business Central Technical Developer to join our IT team in Amritsar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC).

As a technical developer, you will work with functional consultants, IT teams, and end-users to customize, extend, and optimize the Business Central platform to meet business requirements. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Customization and Development:
• Design, develop, and implement custom solutions and extensions for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) using the AL programming language.
• Create and maintain custom reports, pages, and objects, tailoring Business Central to meet business-specific needs.
• Customize standard Business Central modules such as Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, and Inventory.
• System Integration:
• Develop and implement integration solutions between Business Central and other internal/external systems (e.g., CRM, third-party applications, and databases) using APIs, web services, and other integration technologies.
• Ensure smooth data flow between Business Central and other systems to maintain operational efficiency.
• Performance Optimization:
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance-related issues in the Business Central system.
• Optimize system performance by improving database queries, streamlining code, and applying best practices for resource management.
• System Upgrades and Patching:
• Assist with the implementation of software updates, patches, and version upgrades.
• Ensure that customizations are maintained and function properly after system upgrades or new releases.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to test and validate system changes.
• Troubleshooting and Support:
• Provide ongoing technical support for Business Central users, investigating and resolving technical issues.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate user feedback and issues into actionable development tasks.
• Reporting and Analytics:
• Develop and manage custom reports and dashboards using Business Centrals built-in reporting tools, or integrate with Power BI for advanced analytics.
• Assist business users in accessing and interpreting data from Business Central to improve decision-making.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for customizations, integrations, and system configurations.
• Develop and update technical documentation for internal teams and end-users to ensure consistency and understanding of system customizations.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
• Work closely with business analysts, functional consultants, and project managers to ensure that technical solutions align with business requirements.
• Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable way.
• Security and Compliance:
• Ensure that Business Central configurations and customizations adhere to security standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Implement security best practices in user access, roles, and data protection.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central features, AL programming language updates, and industry trends.
• Propose improvements to system functionality and development processes to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:
• Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central development, including proficiency in the AL programming language.
• Expertise in Business Central architecture, tables, pages, reports, and queries.
• Experience with system integrations using APIs, web services (OData, SOAP), and external data connectors.
• Familiarity with SQL and database management, particularly related to Business Central.
• Experience:
• 2-3 years of experience working as a Microsoft Business Central Developer or Technical Consultant.
• Prior experience in customizing and extending Business Central solutions, including integrations and report development.
• Hands-on experience with Business Centrals extensions and development environment (Visual Studio Code, AL).
• Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Ability to design efficient, scalable, and optimized technical solutions.
• Communication & Collaboration:
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills, with the ability to work across different departments.
• Education & Certifications:
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Microsoft certifications related to Dynamics 365 Business Central (e.g., Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer certification) are a plus.
