• The primary objective of this Financial Planning and Analyst role is to collaborate closely with the Accounts teams, transforming intricate financial data into actionable plans.

• By aligning financial insights with organizational objectives, this role empowers the leadership team to craft robust financial strategies, establish effective internal controls, attain operational milestones, and devise financial roadmaps that seamlessly complement the organizational strategy. Challenges of  the Role

• Required to handle multiple tasks/projects at time and manage the requirements of multiple stakeholders
• Working with Functional leaders to deliver them intelligence/reports based on changing business needs.

Key Results (What will I be accountable for?) and Activities (What will I do?):

Drive strategic Business Planning, Annual Operating Plans:

• Drive the rolling strategic business planning and annual operating plans preparation, budget consolidation and sign-off for driving implementation through the organization. Custodian of the Business Planning process
• Lead the financial aspects of respective functions/business units, including supporting the development of departmental annual operational and capital expenditure budgets, monitoring income and expenditure and taking appropriate and timely measures to address any variances.

Business & Financial Reporting, Review Mechanism, Governance, MIS, Analytics, business Dashboards, Risk Management:

• Build a strong review mechanism to track, report variances, analyze the trends and forecast in business performance to enable action planning and implementation. Closely track actions and drive them across functions towards closures.
• Oversee the accuracy of the various financial reports to analyze the financial health of the organization and support the management to take the financial / commercial business decisions through financial data and analytics
• Study and report financial, economic & business trends (internal as well as external); its impact on business performance and financial health
• Drive the business dashboards in correlation to the financial performance for the leadership team to enable leadership decision making
• Forecast cash flow positions, any related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment in relation to the business growth and dynamics.
• Study & identify business trends, risks & take actions towards risk mitigation

Assist in Business Programs and Projects towards improvisation of efficiencies, reducing costs across business:

• Analyze and drive business efficiency programs/projects towards improvisation of business operational efficiency, reducing business operational leakages, reducing costs
• Provide financial experience and expertise through analytics towards commercial dealings of the organization (dealer/distributor management, partners, customer contracts, etc.
• Provide support towards costing, pricing and analytics towards commercial viability of transactions.
• Actively contribute to various strategic projects driven by the head of Finance, COO or CEO (Example: Business Model, Scaling Strategy and Exit Planning for Overseas Acquisition)

Business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls, Driving Technology (SAP):

• Developing and deploying strong financial processes, policies, authority matrix and governance towards managing internal controls across business operations. Identifying the loop-holes for business decisions and ensuring that a cost benefit analysis is driven towards implementation of action.
• Driving the Technology back-bone to automate the various activities, processes for minimization of manual work & build the finance & accounts function efficiency.

Knowledge/Skills/Behaviors the Candidate Should Possess: Must Have (M)/ Nice to Have(N)

Knowledge (Functional and Non-Technical):

• Strong understanding and 4-5 years experience of creating and analyzing financial statements such as balance sheets, P&L statements, Cash Flow Statements, Weekly Dashboards (in an FP&A equivalent role). –(M)
• Experience in managing and optimizing working capital, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory levels. –(N)
• Understanding of treasury operations, including cash management, banking relationships, and financial instruments. –(N)

Skills (Functional and Non-Technical):

• Organized, process oriented with strong planning, project management and execution skills. –(M)
• High level of attention to detail. –(M)
• Technology Savvy:
  1. Experience of working and generating reports from any ERP/BI Tool. –(N)
  2. Working with large data on spreadsheets - using formulae, analyzing and interpreting numbers to draw trends. –(M)
