SAP ABAP Developer

Key Responsibilities:
ABAP Development and Customization:
Design, develop, and implement custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms based on business requirements and functional specifications.
Write optimized, reusable, and maintainable ABAP code for custom solutions, including user exits, BADIs (Business Add-Ins), and custom function modules.
Develop SAPscript, SmartForms, and Adobe forms for document output in various SAP modules (MM, SD, FICO, etc.).
Integration and Interface Development:
Develop and support data integration interfaces between SAP and external systems (e.g., using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, web services, or file-based interfaces).
Ensure smooth integration between SAP modules (e.g., SAP MM, SD, FICO) and third-party applications, both on-premise and cloud-based solutions.
Design and implement system interfaces using SAP PI/PO or SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration).
Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting:
Perform ABAP code performance tuning, identifying and resolving bottlenecks to ensure high system performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with custom programs, reports, and interfaces, working closely with functional consultants and end users.
Review and debug existing ABAP code to optimize system performance and eliminate inefficiencies.
Technical Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for ABAP developments, including design documents, specifications, and user manuals.
Provide support for internal teams and end-users, answering queries related to custom ABAP developments and system performance.
Share knowledge and best practices with team members to foster a collaborative and efficient development environment.
Collaboration with Functional Teams:
Collaborate with functional consultants (e.g., SAP MM, SD, FICO, HR) to understand business requirements and translate them into ABAP solutions.
Support the testing phase by creating test cases, conducting unit testing, and supporting integration and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Assist in the deployment and rollout of SAP solutions, ensuring smooth transitions from development to production.
SAP System Maintenance and Upgrades:
Provide ongoing support for SAP applications, ensuring continuous system functionality and addressing any issues that arise post-implementation.
Participate in SAP system upgrades and patching activities, ensuring that custom developments are compatible with the latest SAP releases.
