QA Engineer

We are looking for a Sr QA Automation Engineer for one of our clients who is into workload automation and software solutions for businesses.

Role: Sr QA Automation Engineer

Total Experience: 5-10 years

Relevant Experience: 5-10 years

Technical Skills: Automation testing, UI Testing, Back-end Testing, Shell Scripting preferred

Location: Pune

Required Skills:

1. Strong Testing Fundamentals: Solid understanding of development and testing processes with the ability to design, build, and execute maintainable automated test suites.
2. Strong Manual Testing Experience: Expertise in various types of manual testing (e.g., functional, integration, regression) and ability to detect edge cases that automation might miss.
3. Agile Methodology Awareness: Familiarity with Agile practices, including sprint planning, daily standups, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
4. Strong Bash Scripting Skills with Regex: Ability to automate repetitive tasks, integrate tools, and execute complex workflows via the command line. Efficient in Regular expressions.
5. Strong Understanding of Log Files and Error Handling: Proven experience in analyzing logs to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues efficiently.
6. Logical Thought Process for Testing Plans and Scenario Execution: Capable of building clear, well-structured test plans and prioritizing testing scenarios for various requirements.
7. Docker and Docker Networking Knowledge: Understanding of containerization for creating isolated and consistent testing environments. Docker networking knowledge to support multi-container testing.
8. Strong Core Java with OOPS Concepts: Proficiency in Java programming for test automation and custom script development.
9. Experience with Workload Automation Software: Familiarity with tools like Control-M, Autosys, or ActiveBatch for automating business processes and job scheduling.
10. Experience with Environment Setup, Dataset Creation, and Test Plan Enhancement: Proficient in setting up test environments, preparing datasets, and improving test plans and documentation.
11. Experience in Increasing and Maintaining Good Test Coverage: Proven experience in building comprehensive test cases that cover the entire application, including edge cases.
