Cisco Tetration L2 Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with expertise in Cisco Tetration Analytics platform to join our team. This role will focus on Layer 2 network operations, visibility, security, and workload protection using Cisco Tetration. The ideal candidate will help implement, maintain, and optimize our Tetration environment to enhance network visibility, security policy enforcement, and application dependency mapping.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and maintain Cisco Tetration Analytics platform across the enterprise network infrastructure

- Implement Layer 2 network visibility and monitoring capabilities using Tetration sensors and collectors

- Design and implement segmentation policies using Tetrations application dependency mapping capabilities

- Provide Layer 2 network troubleshooting and performance analysis using Tetrations real-time traffic analysis

- Configure and manage Tetration software sensors on workloads across different environments (on-premise, cloud, virtual)

- Develop and implement network security policies based on application behavior

- Perform regular health checks and maintenance on the Tetration platform

- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate Tetration with other security and networking tools

- Create documentation for Tetration configurations, policies, and operational procedures

- Monitor and respond to security events identified by Tetrations anomaly detection

- Provide regular reports on network security posture and policy compliance

Required Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

- 3+ years of experience with enterprise network engineering and operations

- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco Tetration Analytics platform

- Strong understanding of Layer 2 networking concepts and protocols (Ethernet, VLAN, STP, etc.)

- Experience with software-defined networking and micro-segmentation concepts

- Proficiency in network security principles and zero-trust architecture

- Experience with network packet analysis and traffic flow monitoring tools

- Knowledge of data center networking architectures and technologies

- Understanding of application dependency mapping and workload protection

Preferred Qualifications

- Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE, or Cisco Tetration specific certifications)

- Experience with Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure)

- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)

- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

- Experience with automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible)

- Understanding of compliance frameworks (PCI DSS, HIPAA, etc.)

- Experience with API integration for network management systems
