Production Engineer- Structural Fabrication

Roles & Responsibilities :

A production supervisor in the structural fabrication industry is responsible for overseeing the fabrication department to ensure that production meets quality, safety, and efficiency standards:

• Managing people Assigning work to employees, providing training, and monitoring their performance
• Ensuring quality Inspecting products to ensure they meet standards, and directing workers to quarantine products that don't
• Maintaining safety Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and regulations, and communicating safety goals to the department
• Managing production Developing and implementing production plans and schedules, and monitoring production processes
• Managing inventory Coordinating with supply chain staff to ensure raw materials and other supplies are available
• Improving processesIdentifying areas for improvement and recommending changes to increase efficiency
• ReportingProducing progress reports and providing quantitative data

Other responsibilities may include: Coordinating sub-contractors, Setting up fixtures, Coordinating repairs, Maintaining time and production records, and Notifying the manufacturing manager about cost savings ideas.
