Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning and Analysis:

• Develop and manage financial models, forecasts, and budgets.
• Analyze financial performance and trends, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Monitor and report on key financial metrics and performance indicators.

2. Accounting and Reporting:

• Timely preparation & submission of all the reports & data as per Banks requirement.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
• Preparation of Board papers, MIS and management accounting.

3. Cash Flow Management:

• Monitor cash flow and liquidity, ensuring sufficient working capital for operational needs.
• Develop and implement cash flow forecasts and strategies to optimize financial stability.
• Responsible for consolidation of financial accounts including P&L, Balance-sheet, cash flow and treasury along with cash flow management including working capital relationship with banks.

4. Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts, aligning financial plans with business goals.
• Analyze variances between actual results and budgeted projections, providing insights for corrective actions.

5. Financial Compliance and Controls:

• Ensure adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
• Possess knowledge of anti-dumping duties, statutory requirements like MSPT & PF; gratuity-their working & exemptions; PL encashment requirements and any other statutory requirements.
• Able to coordinate with income tax consultants for income tax related matters i.e., detailed compilation, TDS returns, payments, certificates etc.
• Able to register updation of Fixed assets along with depreciation calculations for books and tax. Also, Periodical verification of assets, caro reporting, modification, control on movement and disposal.

6. Strategic Support:

• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute financial strategies.
• Should have experience & knowledge of risk management, corporate governance which would help them overseeing the audit and assurance functions

7. Team Leadership:

• Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Oversee the professional development and training of finance staff.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 6 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting within an FMCG or startup environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and internal controls.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Tally ).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
