About the Role:

The Associate/Senior Associate will work closely with government bodies, providing advisory support on governance and policy initiatives. The role involves crafting innovative solutions to policy challenges, coordinating with stakeholders to implement programs effectively, and ensuring alignment with broader developmental goals. This position requires a strong understanding of governance frameworks and political ecosystem, with a focus on the North East region (Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam).

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with government officials to design, implement, and monitor governance and policy initiatives.

- Conduct in-depth policy research and analysis to inform program development and decision-making.

- Develop strategic frameworks and action plans for effective delivery of public services.

- Assess the impact of ongoing governance projects and recommend improvements.

- Provide technical support for formulating policies in public health, education, rural development, infrastructure and other critical sectors.

- Draft reports, policy briefs, and presentations for high-level stakeholders.

- Ensure alignment of governance projects with regional and national priorities.

- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate exemplary client and stakeholder management.

Position Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree from a Tier 1 academic institution, preferably in Political Science, Economics, Social Sciences, or Law.

- Prior experience in governance consultancy, policy research, or public sector projects.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesise complex information.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

- Political acumen and understanding of governance structures in the North East region.

- Proficiency in data analysis tools and policy evaluation techniques is an advantage.

- Willingness to travel and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working on government projects at the district, state, or national levels.

- Familiarity with MS Office.

- Fluency in local languages and customs of the North East

P.S This is a contractual role till December 2025 with possibility of extension based on performance.
