Senior Systems Ops Analyst

Responsible for Daily Technical Operations including Application Management and Support for all Nasdaq provided services. This includes 24/7 Technical Operations and Application Support, managing Incidents for both internal and external customers, installing application updates and maintaining operational documentation and procedures.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

• Linux System administration tasks and Linux based troubleshooting.
• L2/L3 technical support. Fix and RCA of ALL processing issues.
• Proactively supervise and resolves the production environment issues with the use of Zabbix as a monitoring tool!
• Perform BAU activities Which includes:
  • System supervising to ensure availability of all services, server resources.
  • Log supervising to review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs.
• Resolution of Incidents and Service Requests following SLAs and ITIL Incident Management Processes!
• Performing Application Deployments using puppet, Gitlab and bit bucket as per Change Management Processes.
• Develop and integrate process automation tools using Bash/Python
• Managing AWS Cloud infrastructure with Terraform, GitHub and Splunk as a monitoring tool.

Work will be Rotational shift-based to support European and North American business hours.

• Weekdays: Early 7 AM |General 10 AM |Late 3:00 PM Once in 6 Weeks
• Weekends: Minor Critical Deployment Support | Rotational On-Call once in 8 Weeks.

Timings are indicative only and should be flexible to accommodate as per changing business needs.

We expect you to have:

• Solid background in Linux/Unix Environment. 3-5 Years.
• Exposure to supervising tools: Zabbix, Grafana etc. 3- 4 Years.
• Exposure to Configuration management tools including Puppet, Ansible. 2 -3 Years.
• Strong scripting knowledge in Bash, Python.
• Exposure to Jira, GIT/Bitbucket tool. 2-3 years.
• Exposure to AWS cloud technologies. 2 Years
• Good understanding of ITIL methodologies.

• Networking protocols such as TCP/IP networking and routing.
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in an equivalent discipline.
