Interior Designer - Real Estate

Role & responsibilities

• Create innovative, functional design concepts aligned with client needs and budget.
• Use mood boards, sketches, and renders to communicate ideas and stakeholders.
• Develop efficient floor plans balancing functionality and aesthetics.
• Choose materials, finishes, and furniture based on project style and budget. Source and procure materials timely, ensuring they meet quality and sustainability standards.
• Create and manage BOQ, ensuring accurate material costs and budget alignment.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure competitive pricing.
• Serve as the Project Manager, presenting design ideas and adjustments.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and engineers to ensure design consistency.
• Oversee multiple projects, ensuring timely, within-budget, and quality delivery.
• Coordinate design integration with construction and architectural teams.
• Visit sites regularly to ensure design implementation and quality standards.
• Resolve on-site issues related to design execution and material discrepancies.
• Manage relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure high-quality materials and timely delivery.
• Supervise the installation of furnishings, fixtures, and finishes.
• Prepare design documentation, drawings, and specifications for client approval.
• Provide regular progress reports on budgets, timelines, and any challenges. Address design or budget issues with practical and creative solutions.
• Stay updated on trends and innovations in materials and design technologies.
• Ensure designs meet building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Assist in creating visual presentations to enhance property marketability.
• Deliver projects as per client specifications and provide after-sales services.

Preferred candidate profile

5-7 years of experience with Real estate projects

Handle multiple projects with effective timeline management.

Strong design conceptualization and creativity.

Strong skills in client and contractor interactions.

Proficient in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Blender).

Expertise in sourcing materials and managing budgets.

Ability to solve design or construction challenges.
