Safety Expert / Safety Auditor

R Key Responsibilities:

1.Operations and Control

Support project site safety and execution teams to implement safety plans and standards.

Oversee compliance with scaffolding safety, lifting and rigging standards, and work at height procedures.

Conduct project safety management audits, including traffic safety management evaluations.

Develop and deliver training and educational programs to prevent personal injuries.

Analyze accident and incident reports to recommend and implement safety control measures.

Perform monthly site visits to assess safety practices and provide actionable suggestions.

Communicate with clients regarding safety challenges and offer solutions for effective implementation.

2. Analysis and Evaluation

To carry out project safety inspections in order to observe the physical conditions of work and the work practices and procedures followed by the workers and to render advice on measures to be adopted for removing unsafe physical conditions and preventing unsafe actions by workers.

To render recommendations on matters related to reporting and investigating of industrial accidents and diseases.

Ensure random checks of daily PTWs / ensure PTWs verification of all critical activities.

Safety Expert: C) Analysis

D) Review for continual improvement

Review the monthly site safety performance report and provide recommendation for improving safety performance.

To review selected accidents and report the same to project Head and HO and advise to prevent reoccurrence.

To monthly project safety committees meetings.

To act as a site safety leader which can control all the safety aspects at site.

3. Inspection and Recommendation

Conduct safety inspections to identify unsafe work conditions and practices.

Provide actionable advice to eliminate hazards and prevent unsafe actions.

Offer recommendations on industrial accident and disease investigations.

Perform random daily checks of Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, focusing on critical activities.

4. Continuous Improvement

Review monthly safety performance reports and recommend improvements.

Analyze selected accidents and incidents, reporting findings to the project head and headquarters.

Participate in monthly project safety committee meetings to discuss and strategize improvements.

5.Desired Profile

Experience on Construction Safety Management

High Level of experience in construction safety management

Experience in Cement/Steel/Power Plants or Chemical Industry

Strong exposure in ensuring and adherence to global safety construction practices, procedures, safety norms and codes & standards.

Dynamic & flexible with strong interpersonal communications, people management, analytical & problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated excellence in designing, implementing and improving construction safety strategy.

Qualifications:

Comprehensive knowledge of safety standards related to scaffolding, rigging, and work at height.

Proven experience in conducting audits and managing project safety.

Strong analytical skills to assess accidents and incidents effectively.

Excellent communication skills for training delivery and client interactions.

Leadership ability to guide teams and promote a safety-first culture.

Qualification,:- Full Time Engineering Degree + Approved Safety Qualification

Experience:-

Minimum 15 - 18 years of experience in safety field with at least 5 yrs. in a large construction project.
