Technology Specialist

We are looking for a Technology Specialist who will lead the technical strategy, architecture, and innovation of MUFG s development team. With deep expertise throughout the technology stack in .Net, will work closely with architects, product managers and developers to ensure the solution build are reliable, scalable, and highly secured. This expectation from the role is also to mentor and share knowledge with the team, to build capability and skills across the entire development team.A strong background in enterprise technology for global organisations. Ideally with pensions or financial services experience.

Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities

Strategic Focus

• Proposing new technology and changes to ensure the business remains innovative.
• Collaborate with client and project managers to ensure solution implementation is on par with the agreed design and scope.
• Work closely with the agile team of product managers, developers, test teams, environment engineers and release managers.

Operational Management

• Supporting solution design and estimations by contributing and reviewing developers analysis.
• Ensuring the software development lifecycle is followed and high-quality code is delivered.
• Review development tools and processes to ensure they are correctly used by the team. Identify if any new tools or process changes are required.
• Work with the system analysts and solution architects to analyse, document, and propose solutions for affected business areas by mapping business requirements to technical solutions.
• Ensure non-functional requirements (performance, auditing, security, and on-going support) are considered during development.
• Review project plans to ensure all the required technical implementation is included.

People Leadership

• Provide supervision, mentorship and guidance to new and existing members of the team.
• Create and maintain a training program for the team.
• Review team and individual goals and objectives as part of the continuous performance management process.
• Maintain a strong relationship with test leads to ensure smooth transitions between developers and testers.

Governance & Risk

• Secure the Architecture Board approval for new development to mitigate risk on impacted applications.
• Participate in the Architecture Board for peer review and validation.

Experience & Personal Attributes

• Overall 15+ years of experience in software development (.NET) with minimum 5+ years as a full-stack developer.
• Hands-on experience in C#, ASP.Net MVC and .Net Core, SQL Server, SOLID principles, Microservices, Restful API s, Azure DevOps, GIT
• Experience in jQuery, Bootstrap, Azure Service Fabric, Middleware integration (Pega/Java) is good to have.
• Experience in Unit Test Framework (NUnit, xUnit), Mocking (Moq), and Entity Framework / LINQ.
• Experience with development frameworks including ReactJS, Vue JS, or Node.js
• Familiarity with accessible web design & development practices (WCAG).
• Familiarity with CICD and Test Automation.
• Familiarity in (or willingness to learn) the Genesis Theme Framework, SASS, Laravel, etc.
• Experience with responsive design/development best practices.
• Experience in relational database design, programming concepts, and best practices such as code efficiency, code optimization, object-oriented programming, and commenting.
• Familiarity with React Native and other desktop/mobile deployment platforms.
