The Business Head will play a pivotal role in driving the commercial success of Morepen Labs. This senior leadership position requires a dynamic and strategic individual with a proven track record in pharmaceutical sales and marketing, particularly in the API sector.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the overall sales and marketing strategy aligned with the company's business goals and objectives.
  • Provide visionary leadership to the sales and marketing teams, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and customer-centricity.

Sales Management:

  • Oversee the sales team responsible for promoting and selling API products to pharmaceutical companies, ensuring revenue targets are met or exceeded.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to expand the company's market presence.

Marketing Strategy:

  • Lead the development of comprehensive marketing plans for API products, including market research, product positioning, and branding strategies.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling promotional materials and campaigns.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for major clients, addressing concerns and fostering long-term partnerships.

Market Analysis:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify potential challenges and opportunities.
  • Utilize market intelligence to guide decision-making and adjust strategies as needed.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with research and development, manufacturing, and regulatory affairs teams to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment of commercial strategies with product development and regulatory requirements.

Financial Management:

  • Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage budgets related to sales and marketing activities.
  • Monitor financial performance against targets, identifying areas for improvement and cost optimization.

Compliance:

  • Ensure that all sales and marketing activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.


Knowledge / Experience / Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience in senior sales and marketing roles within the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on API.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical market dynamics and regulatory requirements.
