Job Title: Concurrent Audit

Department: Internal Audit/Compliance

Key Responsibilities:

Audit of Head Office Operations:

• Conduct concurrent audits of various functions at the Head Office.
• Review policies, processes, and adherence to NBFC-specific regulatory requirements.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls across departments.

Interdepartmental Audit:

• Audit interdepartmental processes to ensure seamless integration and compliance with company policies.
• Identify gaps or inefficiencies in communication, workflow, and cross-departmental coordination.
• Verify data consistency and accuracy across functions, such as loan origination, underwriting, and collections.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Monitor adherence to RBI guidelines, NBFC-specific regulations, and statutory compliance at the organizational level.
• Ensure compliance with KYC, AML, and other operational standards.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare comprehensive concurrent audit reports for the Head Office and Interdepartmental functions, highlighting discrepancies, risks, and actionable recommendations.
• Ensure timely submission of reports to senior management.

Fraud Prevention and Investigation:

• Investigate any suspicious activities or anomalies in transactions and processes.
• Provide recommendations for fraud mitigation strategies and strengthen the organizations internal controls.

Process and Policy Improvement:

• Suggest enhancements to existing policies, workflows, and interdepartmental processes based on audit observations.
• Collaborate with teams to implement corrective measures.

Stakeholder Coordination:

• Interact with department heads and senior management to discuss audit findings and implement corrective actions.
• Follow up on the closure of audit recommendations.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Strong understanding of NBFC operations and Head Office functions such as Finance, Treasury, HR, and IT.
• Expertise in regulatory compliance (RBI, KYC, AML, etc.) and internal controls.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks and inefficiencies.
• Proficiency in drafting detailed audit reports and actionable recommendations.
• Familiarity with auditing tools, accounting software, and ERP systems.
• Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
• Ethical mindset and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. CA/CA Inter/MBA (Finance)/Graduate with a specialization in Finance, Commerce, or Audit.

2. 3–7 years of experience in concurrent or internal audits, preferably in NBFCs, banks, or financial institutions.

3. Experience auditing Head Office or centralized operations is highly desirable.

4. Certifications in Risk Management, Compliance Auditing (optional but advantageous).

• Timely identification and reporting of compliance issues, process inefficiencies, and risks.
