Role Description:
- The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to manage financial risks, and provide valuable insights to senior leadership.
- You will work closely with other departments to ensure financial targets are met and business goals are aligned with sound financial management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Prepare and analyze financial forecasts, budgets, and variance reports.
- Conduct financial modeling and analysis to support business decision-making.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to drive business performance and profitability.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Oversee the budgeting process, working with different departments to develop financial plans and objectives.
- Monitor and review budget performance and ensure proper allocation of resources.
- Prepare rolling forecasts and make adjustments as needed to reflect changing business conditions.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS).
- Monitor internal controls and implement best practices to safeguard the company's financial assets.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Coordinate audits and work closely with external auditors to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Cash Flow Management:
- Manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for the company's operations.
- Develop strategies to improve cash flow, including optimizing working capital, managing receivables and payables, and reducing costs.
- Monitor cash reserves and make recommendations for capital expenditure planning.
Financial Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies, ensuring that the company is protected from potential financial exposure.
Cost Control and Optimization:
- Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Review business performance and recommend actions to control costs while maximizing profitability.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure expenses align with budgeted targets.
Strategic Business Support:
- Provide financial analysis and strategic insights for business expansion, product pricing, and investment opportunities.
- Work with senior management to develop long-term financial strategies aligned with business goals.
- Advise on capital budgeting, investment opportunities, and financial performance improvements.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, ensuring their continuous development and performance.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment, encouraging cross-functional teamwork.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and guidance for skill development.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Prepare and present financial reports to key stakeholders, including the executive team, investors, and board members.
- Communicate complex financial information in a clear and actionable manner to non-financial stakeholders.
