GST Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced GST Manager to join our Chartered Accountant firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of GST compliance, advisory, and litigation for our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of GST laws, return filing, audits, and dispute resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• GST Compliance & Filing: Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C, etc.) for clients.
• GST Reconciliation: Handle ITC reconciliation, GST ledger matching, and rectify mismatches to ensure compliance.
• GST Audits & Assessments: Assist in GST audits and departmental assessments, ensuring proper documentation and representation.
• GST Advisory & Consulting: Provide expert advisory services on GST implications, input tax credit, place of supply, reverse charge mechanism, and exemptions.
• Handling GST Notices & Litigation: Draft responses to GST notices, appeals, and representation before tax authorities.
• E-invoicing & E-way Bill Compliance: Ensure proper implementation and compliance with E-invoicing and E-way Bill provisions.
• Tax Planning & Structuring: Assist clients in GST planning and optimization to ensure tax efficiency.
• Stay Updated on GST Laws: Keep track of amendments in GST laws and updates from CBIC, ensuring compliance with regulatory changes.
• Team Coordination & Training: Lead and train a team of junior accountants and GST executives.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Educational Qualification: CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) / LLB / M.Com or any relevant professional qualification.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in GST compliance, litigation, and advisory.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in GSTN portal, tax software (Tally, ClearTax, Zoho Books, etc.), and MS Excel.
• Knowledge of Accounting & Taxation: Strong understanding of accounting principles, indirect tax laws, and GST regulations.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to interpret and apply GST laws effectively for complex transactions.
• Communication & Client Handling: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and tax authorities.
