Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Creature Modeler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and creating high-quality, detailed 3D models of creatures, monsters, and animals for [films, episode, or animation projects]. You will collaborate closely with concept artists, riggers, and animators to bring unique creatures to life, ensuring they are visually compelling and functionally optimized for production.
- Creating cameras and lining up to reference using scan data.
- Create detailed 3D models of creatures, including anatomy, textures, and surface details.
- Model using photo references or scan data, matching volume,
- Models should be rig and Groom ready with proper flow and topology.
- Shape and details to partial or full camera.
- Create Uvs for texture or groom.
- Creating models for scattering or providing models for kit bashing
- Retopologizing a scan model to pipeline quad mesh.
- Create models for roto anim for tracking and updating models.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with industry-standard software like Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, or similar tools.
- Experience in 3D modeling, specifically in creature or character modeling.
Any of the following technical skills is a bonus
- Previous Experience with Linux
- Any of the following experience is a great advantage:
- Previous experience in a VFX environment
- Previous experience working from 3D scans
