Model Based Developer - Avionics (DO-178C)

Key Responsibilities

• Software Development:
  
• Design and develop embedded software for safety-critical aerospace applications.
• Use model-based design (MBD) techniques for avionics applications.
• Programming and Testing:
  
• Implement software components in C/C++.
• Conduct software verification, including unit, integration, and system testing.
• Test Design and Analysis:
  
• Create test setups using National Instruments tools (LabVIEW, TestStand).
• Perform static and dynamic analysis to ensure quality.
• Collaboration and Review:
  
• Work with engineers to define solutions; participate in code/design reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues.
• Documentation and Innovation:
  
• Maintain detailed documentation; stay updated on industry best practices.
• Business Support:
  
• Contribute to RFQ and RFP for new business.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years in software development for safety-critical systems.
• Skills: Proficient in DO-178C standards, C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and SCADE.
• Industry Knowledge: Aerospace/defense experience preferred; familiarity with DO-254, ARP4754A.
• Technical: Experience with RTOS, embedded systems, and National Instruments tools.
