Audio _QA Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Formal education in audio production, music technology, or a similar field, or comparable knowledge gained through experience working in the audio industry;

Familiarity with a variety of audio production workflows;
Operational experience using studio software and hardware tools such as Digital Audio Workstations, plug-ins, I/O hardware, and control surfaces among others;
Proficient with Windows, MacOS, and Linux platforms;
Strong knowledge of software testing theory and best practices;
Experience writing test cases and using test case management tools, such as TestRail; Experience using task/bug-tracking tools, such as Jira;
A unique ability to stay focused and systematically boil down a complex issue to identify the underlying root cause;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
The perfect candidate also has:
Experience as a Pro Tools user;
Experience testing APIs;
Experience working with hardware devices via Terminal or Serial port.

In this role, you will use your audio industry experience, technical mindset, and curiosity to verify the quality of new features and catch issues throughout the development lifecycle of our desktop applications and related hardware.
This role is part of a high-performing Agile scrum team with members in Europe and the United States time zones.
Typical responsibilities include:
Testing the functionality and reliability of Audio applications in different scenarios and system configurations which may involve DAWs, plug-ins as well amay involve DAWs, plug-ins, audios audio peripherals, and various hardware.
Working in close collaboration with other testers, software developers, project managers, and product designers to identify issues, understand risks and ensure our quality standards are met.
Reproducing and isolating bugs and performance issues reported by users of our products and precisely documenting your steps and test environment so that others can debug/replicate them.
Creating test cases and test plans, as well as documenting test procedures for a variety of music production and sound post-production workflows.
Working as part of a globally distributed team with members in European and United States time zones.
