Job Description
- Ensure the safe navigation and operation of the vessel according to maritime laws and regulations.
- Maintain the vessel, including its machinery, navigation systems, and communication equipment, ensuring operational readiness at all times.
- Monitor and manage daily operations, such as overseeing cargo handling, deck maintenance, and vessel inspections.
- Coordinate with port authorities and comply with all docking, loading, and unloading protocols.
- Lead, train, and supervise crew members to promote safety and efficiency on board.
- Handle emergency procedures, such as firefighting, first aid, and evacuation protocols.
- Ensure proper documentation of ship logs, reports, and safety records.
- Monitor weather and sea conditions, adjusting the vessel's course or speed as needed for safety.
- Facilitate clear communication between the vessel and onshore management.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations related to waste disposal, emissions, and pollution prevention.
