Costing Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Technical knowledge of LT panels like PCC/MCC, HT Panels, autocad .

Prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical panel manufacturing, including material, labor, and overhead costs.

Analyze designs and specifications to ensure cost-effective manufacturing processes and material selection.

Collaborate with the procurement team to track material costs and identify potential savings.

Assist in the preparation of quotations and proposals for customers.

Work with the production team to ensure that the costing model aligns with manufacturing processes.

Maintain a database of cost models for standard panels and customize them based on project-specific needs.

Monitor costs during the production process and suggest cost-saving initiatives.

Provide regular cost analysis reports to senior management to support decision-making.

Conduct periodic reviews of cost structures to ensure competitiveness and profitability.

Preferred candidate profile Costing of fabrication, bus bar,wiring, making BOM from tender documents.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Proven experience as a Costing Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, or similar role, preferably in the electrical panel or related manufacturing industry.

Strong knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Proficiency in using costing software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Strong understanding of electrical panel designs, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Candidate working in Panel Manufacturing industry will be preferred.
