Sales Manager( Waste Water Components)

Role & responsibilities

Responsibilities:

1. Visit Planning & Follow-ups

• Plan and organize visits to customers, including OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and end users.
• Ensure timely follow-ups to nurture leads and close sales.

2. Customer Database Management

• Maintain comprehensive databases of customers, offers, orders, and personal MIS (Management Information System).
• Track sales performance within the designated region.

3. Techno-Commercial Sales

• Drive sales by understanding customer needs and offering customized solutions.
• Communicate product features and benefits effectively to customers.

4. Customer Communication

• Manage both physical and virtual communication with existing and potential customers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships to foster trust and loyalty.

5. Lead Generation

• Identify and generate new leads to expand customer base.

6. Pre-Sales Activities

• Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential customers.
• Engage with customers to understand their requirements and tailor solutions accordingly.
• Order Closure

7. Post-Sales Activities

• Ensure timely collection of approved documents and payments.
• Provide post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction.

8. Site Inputs Collection

• Conduct site visits as required to collect basic measurements and process information.
• Use site inputs to provide accurate information to the back-office team for process design.

9. Communication with Back-Office Team

• Provide necessary inputs to the back-office team to aid in process design and other technical aspects.

10. Process Calculation

• Utilize technical expertise to calculate and demonstrate process efficiencies of various STP (Sewage Treatment Plant), ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant), and WTP (Water Treatment Plant) schemes.
• Highlight cost savings to customers.

11. Team Handling

• Lead and manage a team of sales professionals.
• Provide guidance, support, and training to team members to achieve sales targets.

Preferred candidate profile

• Communication Skills: Excellent presentation skills and proficiency in English communication.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of water and wastewater components and systems.
• MS Office Proficiency: Expertise in MS Office applications for maintaining databases and preparing reports.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to plan, organize, and execute customer visits and follow-ups efficiently.
• Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with customers.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to understand customer issues and provide effective solutions.
• Leadership Skills: Experience in managing and leading a sales team.
• Industry Knowledge: Good understanding of different types of water and wastewater processes and applications. Familiarity with OEMs and end users.

Education Qualifications:

• B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering
• M.Sc in Environmental Science or a related field
• M.Tech in Environmental Engineering or a related field

Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel up to 80% of working days per month.
