Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tableau Data Analytics Engineer to join our data team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Tableau dashboards and reports that provide key insights and help drive business decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to ensure that data visualizations and reports are both accurate and impactful.

Key Responsibilities:

Tableau Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for Distributor Clearinghouse product.
• Ensure the scalability and performance of Tableau solutions, optimizing for usability and responsiveness.
• Utilize Tableau best practices for dashboard design, data visualization, and storytelling.

Data Integration & ETL:

• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure the proper data integration and transformation for Tableau reports.
• Work with large datasets from various data sources (databases, data warehouses, APIs) to extract, transform, and load data into Tableau.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all visualizations and reports.

Data Analysis:

• Perform data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and insights that drive business decisions.
• Partner with Product team to understand their analytics needs and translate those into effective Tableau solutions.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Act as the Tableau subject matter expert (SME), providing guidance to other analysts and developers on best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, validate insights, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Performance Tuning:

• Optimize Tableau performance, both at the workbook level and the infrastructure level, to ensure fast and efficient dashboards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any performance bottlenecks or issues within Tableau and the underlying data infrastructure.

Documentation:

• Maintain detailed documentation of dashboard designs, data sources, and business logic for future reference and scalability.
• Ensure that all Tableau reports and dashboards are well-documented, accessible, and reusable.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelors degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics and business intelligence.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing in Tableau.
• Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and working with large datasets.
• Proven track record of designing and delivering impactful Tableau dashboards and visualizations.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency with Tableau (Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, Tableau Prep).
• Strong SQL skills for querying databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.).
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Experience with other BI tools (Power BI, Looker) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis is an advantage.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integrating cloud data into Tableau.
• Familiarity with Tableau extensions and APIs for advanced use cases.
