Designation: Engineering Manager

Work Location :MKCL Office at Pune or Navi Mumbai (physically at workplace)

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical strategy and development methodology.
• Select appropriate technology as per the requirement.
• Collaborates across teams and disciplines to resolve technically complex and mission-critical problems.
• Focus on continual improvements and enhancement in functional, non-functional, and security aspects of the software application.
• Learning and implementing new and emerging technologies from time to time in response to organizational requirements.

Requisite Skills / Technologies

• Worked on large web application projects.
• Designed large database schemas, the integrity of data, and managing business logic
• Practical hands-on knowledge on front-end development, security, and role management.
• Worked on multiple/hybrid technologies for business solutions
• Should know Sprint/ Agile Methodology.

Technology Option 1 - Java

• Designing solutions that are built around Java technologies (e.g., Java SE, Java EE, Spring, Hibernate). This includes creating the architecture for applications that may involve microservices, monolithic applications, or hybrid models using Java
• Selecting appropriate Java frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Jakarta EE) and tools to meet the solution's needs in terms of performance, scalability, and ease of development.
• Ensuring that the solution adheres to object-oriented design principles such as SOLID, DRY (Dont Repeat Yourself), and KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid).
• Integration of various Java components, such as Java Messaging Service (JMS), Java APIs for RESTful Web Services.
• Designing persistence layers using technologies like JPA (Java Persistence API) or Hibernate to ensure efficient data access and storage.
• Ensuring that the solution follows Java security best practices, including input validation, data encryption (e.g., Java Cryptography Extension), secure authentication (e.g., Spring Security), and secure session management.
• Design data storage layers, ensuring efficient database interactions, whether using SQL (MySQL) or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis). Optimize queries, manage migrations, and ensure data integrity.

Technology Option 2 Dot Net

• Deep understanding of .NET Framework, and related technologies such as ASP.NET, Entity Framework, Web API, and MVC.
• Proficiency in C#, with a strong command of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, design patterns, and best practices
• In-depth experience with building RESTful APIs, gRPC services, and web applications using ASP.NET.
• Proficiency in SQL Server, Entity Framework (EF Core), and designing scalable, high-performance database solutions, including knowledge of NoSQL databases like Mongo DB.
• Experience with integration technologies like Web APIs, SOAP, and message queues.
• Knowledge of security best practices in .NET applications, including secure coding practices, data encryption, authentication/authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT), and compliance with industry

Technology Option 3 Vue.js and Golang

• Design scalable and high-performance RESTful or gRPC APIs using Golang. Ensure that these APIs are efficient, secure, and easy to maintain.
• Leverage Golangs concurrency model (goroutines, channels) to build highly efficient services capable of handling high traffic with minimal resource consumption
• Architect and design distributed systems using Golang, ensuring microservices can communicate effectively and scale independently.
• Design data storage layers, ensuring efficient database interactions, whether using SQL (MySQL) or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis). Optimize queries, manage migrations, and ensure data integrity.
• Implement security best practices within the Golang ecosystem, such as secure coding, OAuth2, JWT for authentication, and data encryption.
• Architect reusable, modular frontend components in Vue.js. Ensure efficient state management using Vuex or other state management libraries.
• Design how the Vue.js frontend will communicate with the Golang backend services via APIs, ensuring smooth data exchange and efficient rendering of content.
• Optimize frontend performance by lazy loading, code splitting, and optimizing component rendering to ensure smooth user experiences, even on resource-constrained devices
• Ensure that the front-end solutions are responsive and work seamlessly across a range of devices and screen sizes.
• Conduct code reviews for both backend (Go) and frontend (Vue.js) to ensure quality, scalability, and security standards are met.
• Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines for both Go backend and Vue.js frontend. Automate build, test, and deployment processes using tools like GitHub Actions.

Technology Option 4 Mobile App

• Define the overall technical architecture for mobile applications (iOS, Android, cross-platform).
• Ensure the system is scalable, maintainable, and secure.
• Select appropriate technology stacks (e.g., Native, Flutter, React Native, Kotlin, Swift).
• Design backend integration with APIs, databases, and cloud services.
• Guide developers on best coding practices, design patterns, and architectural principles.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with design standards
• Implement best security practices (e.g., authentication, encryption, secure APIs).
• Optimize app performance, caching, and data management.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, or other industry standards

Qualification/s

(a) Masters Degree in Computer Application / Computer Science/ Information Technology/ E & TC or equivalent from any recognized University

OR

(b) Bachelors / Masters Degree (BE / BTech / ME / MTech) with specialization in Computer Engineering / Computer Technology / Information Technology/ E & TC or equivalent from any recognized University

OR

(c) CDACs DAC OR MKCLs DST Course

Relevant Experience: Preferably 14 years or More

Level in MKCL Pay Matrix: Level 5 to 6

The specific level for the selected candidate shall be decided based on his/her qualifications and relevant experience.

Compensation Package - Cost To Company (CTC)

Range: Rs. 28 to 34 Lacs per annum

(This includes approx. Annual Special Allowance (DA based %) and Organizational Performance Linked Award amounts paid in the financial year 2023-24.)

Exact CTC for the selected candidate shall be computed based on his/her qualifications and relevant experience.

**The amount provided for the Annual Special Allowance (ASA) and the approximate Organisational Performance Linked Award (OPLA) are based on previous years data and are estimates only. Final amounts will be determined in accordance with the Employee Remuneration Policy, considering factors such as the Company’s profit before tax, individual performance ratings, and other relevant criteria. Both allowances will be disbursed on a pro-rata basis for the financial year.
