Relay Testing Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Protection Relay Testing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in power system protection schemes and relay testing methodologies. This role involves conducting site and lab-based relay testing, troubleshooting protection systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and traveling within India and abroad.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform testing and commissioning of protection relays (distance, differential, overcurrent, earth fault, etc.)
• Conduct primary and secondary injection testing.
• Analyze test results, prepare reports, and provide recommendations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve protection-related issues.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams to ensure timely delivery of services.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in protection relay testing.
• Proficiency with relay testing equipment (e.g., Omicron, Megger, Doble).
• Strong understanding of power system protection schemes and standards.
• Knowledge of IEC 61850 communication protocols is a plus.
