Role: Apps Packaging Architect Expected Date of Joining: Dec 18, 2024 Key Responsibilities Skills- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of Windows 11 migration strategies for virtual desktop infrastructure
- Assess current VDI environment and develop a comprehensive migration roadmap
- Identify and resolve potential compatibility issues between existing applications and Windows 11
- Optimize Windows 11 images for virtual desktop performance and user experience
- Implement and configure Windows 11 security features in the VDI environment
- Develop and execute testing plans to ensure seamless migration and minimal disruption to end-users
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Windows 11 virtual desktops with existing systems and infrastructure
- Monitor and tune post-migration performance, addressing any issues that arise
- Document all migration processes, configurations, and best practices for future reference
- 8+ years of experience in virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) implementation and management
- Proven experience with Windows desktop operating systems, including Windows 10 and Windows 11
- Strong knowledge of VDI solutions such as Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, VMware Horizon, or Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V)
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows management tools
