Cloud Architect - AWS Infrastructure (5-20 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement AWS cloud architectures for a wide range of applications, ensuring security, scalability, and performance.

- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and data teams to architect cloud-native applications and microservices that leverage AWS services.

- Lead cloud migration strategies for moving on-premises applications and data to AWS.

- Develop and enforce best practices for cloud operations, including cost optimization, monitoring, disaster recovery, and fault tolerance.

- Create and manage cloud infrastructure as code using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK (Cloud Development Kit).

- Integrate AWS security services (IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, etc.) to maintain a secure and compliant environment.

- Architect and implement data lake and analytics solutions using AWS services like S3, Glue, Redshift, and Athena.

- Manage and optimize AWS resources for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness, including EC2, RDS, Lambda, EKS, and S3.

- Ensure robust monitoring, logging, and alerting using AWS CloudWatch, Elasticsearch, and third-party tools.

- Conduct architectural reviews and provide guidance for teams on adopting cloud best practices.

- Stay up to date with AWS advancements and trends in cloud computing to drive innovation within the organization.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and solution design, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in AWS.

- Strong understanding of AWS services and architectures, including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudFront, Route 53, and more.

- Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) with tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK.

- Expertise in networking, security, and IAM within AWS, including VPC design, encryption, security groups, and roles/policies.

- Experience with cloud migration projects and cloud-to-cloud integrations.

- Proficiency in automation and DevOps practices, including CI/CD, monitoring, and orchestration using - AWS services and tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Code Pipeline.

- Familiarity with databases and storage solutions on AWS, including RDS, S3, and Glacier.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications :

- AWS Certified Security Specialist or AWS Certified Big Data certification.

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification is required.

- Experience with hybrid cloud architectures integrating on-premises and AWS environments.

- Knowledge of cloud cost management strategies and tools like AWS Cost Explorer or Trusted Advisor.

- Experience with multi-region deployment strategies and disaster recovery planning.

- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks & AWS AI services (e.g SageMaker, Recognition) is a plus.

- Hands-on experience with real-time data streaming solutions such as Kinesis or Kafka.
