Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Healthcare Data Engineer with a strong background in managing healthcare data and implementing cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in analyzing, designing, and supporting data solutions tailored to healthcare needs. This role involves working with healthcare data standards (HL7, CCDAs, EDI), cloud platforms, and advanced analytics tools to support client requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Work with healthcare data (e.g., EMR Clinical and Financial data, HL7 v2, CCDAs, EDI formats like 835s, 837s, and claims data) in various formats such as Flat files, JSON, and XML. Manage and engage with clients for requirements gathering, impact analysis, and solution delivery. Develop and optimize data pipelines using Hive SQL, Postgres, or other data analysis tools. Implement and support client solutions on the Azure Cloud platform. Write and maintain high-quality code in Databricks (Python/Scala) to process and analyze large datasets. Utilize Git/GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: Experience working with healthcare data, including EMR, HL7, CCDAs, and claims data. client management experience, including requirements gathering and impact analysis. Hands-on experience with Hive SQL, Postgres, or equivalent. experience implementing solutions on the Azure Cloud platform. coding experience in Databricks with Python or Scala.
Experience with Git/GitHub.
Preferred Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively with clients and cross-functional teams. Familiarity with healthcare data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA). Experience with additional cloud platforms or tools is a plus.
